IAN WILES

Born 1959 in Gateshead, England.

Graduated from Newcastle Polytechnic with BA (Hons) Degree 1985.

Paints people and places in a variety of media.

Has exhibited widely at galleries including :-

Royal College of Art, London

Mall Galleries, London

Howard Gardens Gallery, Cardiff

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh

Urbis, Manchester

and extensively in the North East of England.

Has worked with groups of disabled people since 1987 promoting the benefit and value of meaningful, creative activity.

Fell in love with the Greek Islands after visitng Corfu on holiday in 1991. Now lives in Panagia on the beautiful North Aegean island of Thassos.  

Has also painted in India, Egypt, Czech Republic, Turkey, France, Hungary, Spain and Portugal, as well as various locations in England.
